Today was texture the staff/club day. Despite multiple attempts to come up with something that actually looked good I got this.
I was going for whimsical but instead just got goofy. :p I will definitely be coming back this later but right now I’m a tad tired of looking at it. I might clean it up some though before shelving it.

Today I wasted quite a bit of time playing around with different ideas that didn’t pan out. Finally decided to give up and get on to texturing this little oddball. Here’s the wip so far and I will update as I go along.
Tip: Once you mark the seams(red lines on model), if you go into face select in the 3d view, you can grab the different parts with the L hotkey. This will then let you grab that same piece in the UV Image Editor and you can move it around all you like. Great for organizing your textures into their respected groups(face, teeth, arms, fingers,etc.).
Painting the base color of the hat. Kinda reminds me of the Animaniacs cartoons I used to watch.
That is the last photo for tonight. Looks like I’m going past my deadline, again. Oh well, still a speed model compared to how fast I usually am able to do stuff. :p
Deadline 2-3 days. This is end of day 2.
Today/Tomorrow is texturing, rigging, and animation.
